NZFW 2014 - HAILWOOD

Hailwood showed last night at NZFW. His collection ranged from streetwear to evening dresses, and featured heraldry symbols, knitwear and velvet. Check out what we saw after the jump.

NZFW 2014 - ZAMBESI

Zambesi showed their AW15 collection, XXXV, at NZFW on Wednesday. Marking their 35th year, the show was naturally polished and slick with models walking to a soundtrack of Queen's Flash Gordon. It's no secret we're pretty big fans of the label and we saw a lot to like in this collection. Highlights for us were the stunning outerwear, including a rich blue coat and slouchy coats with a pilled texture, the possum-fur knitwear and the structured dresses. NZFW 2014 - AIM

Huffer launched their new label, Aim, at a presentation in the Huffer basement yesterday. Beautiful photographs of Aussie model Bambi Northwood-Blyth, shot by Adam Bryce, adorned the room at a huge scale and were accompanied my musical awesomeness c/o Watercolours. Aim, designed by Aimee McFarlane, offers a collection of pretty sophisticated and nicely understated womenswear as a complement to the streetwear that Huffer have built their rep on. It's due to hit Huffer stores from November so look out for it. See some of what we saw after the jump.

NZFW 2014 - STOLEN GIRLFRIENDS CLUB

Stolen Girlfriends Club took things off-site last night showing their AW15 collection, The Guilty Ones, at Western Springs Stadium. Twin Peaks was the Lynch-pin (get it?) of the collection with references to the cult nineties series throughout. Great styling, soundtrack and venue made for an awesome show. And rad clothes made for one of our favourite SGC collections to date. See what we saw and liked after the jump.

NZFW 2014 - UNDERGROUND

After a rad presentation last year, Underground, was back again at New Zealand Fashion Week, this time occupying Silo 6 at Wynyard Quarter. Six designers were involved, Blue Blank, Meadowlark, Thprks, Jojo Ross, Jimmy D and Jason Lingard, taking over a silo each to create their installations. Seriously cool, Underground will also be open from 10am this Friday to Sunday. It's free and you should go. But not because it's free, that's just a bonus. See more of what we saw after the jump.

NZFW 2014 - LELA JACOBS

We were happy to see Lela Jacobs back at New Zealand Fashion Week this year as her show last year was one of our absolute favourites of the week. This collection, entitled Post Dystopian, was once again presented in an atmospheric, slowly paced and polished show. Richly textured fabrics, layering and fine craft work combined with a beautifully raw edge. Also, how ace is that hair and makeup? See what we saw after the jump.

NZFW 2014 - NOM*D

New Zealand Fashion Week kicked off Tuesday morning with NOM*d returning to the schedule to present their AW15 collection, Noise. We knew we were in for something rad when ear-plugs were handed out on entry and as expected, they set the bar pretty high for the day to follow. This was really good. The show was all-standing, with attendees lined up on one side of the catwalk, opposite six drummers, whose rhythmic percussion provided the soundtrack to the show. GIVEAWAY: NEW ZEALAND FASHION WEEKEND

New Zealand Fashion Week is just a week away now and we're getting pretty excited to see all the new collections. Of course, along with NZ Fashion Week comes NZ Fashion Weekend, which gives everyone the chance to experience what goes on at the biggest event on the NZ fashion calendar. Running across three days, Fashion Weekend this year looks like it will be bigger than ever featuring designer shows, beauty sessions, DJ’s, rad bars, goodie bags and giveaways. NZ Fashion Weekend also plays host to the Designer Garage Sale with stacks of designer pieces at ridiculously good prices (and if you're as good at buying stuff as we are, the Designer Garage Sale alone more than justifies the cost of a Fashion Weekend ticket).

New Zealand Fashion Weekend runs from August 29th to 31st at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland. Tickets are on sale now at iTicket. Get down there.

FOUREYES ON NZFW MODEL CASTING 2014 - PART ONE

In case you haven't already heard, New Zealand Fashion Week 2014 is just a couple of weeks away now. Yesterday we headed along to the model casting where we spotted some familiar faces as well as many new ones that we're sure to see on the catwalks shortly. We took a million photos. Here is part one with part two coming soon.

FOUREYES ON NZFW MODEL CASTING 2013

The New Zealand Fashion Week model casting this year, took place at BMW Auckland in Mt Wellington. The venue which overlooked the motorway was set to stop traffic as onlookers peered into the glass building while the models strutted their stuff. Models from all over the country walked the makeshift catwalk while designers chose their favourites that would go on to showcase their creations at New Zealand Fashion Week, just two short weeks away.

SIANNON

Siannon looked super cool in the Stolen Girlfriends Club coat at NZFW earlier this year. The textured grey of the coat work really well with Siannon's own colourings. Her jeans are by Ksubi and her studded boats are by Ash.

NZFW 2012: WHAT WE WORE

We had grand plans to meticulously document the details of what we wore at New Zealand Fashion Week. As it turned out, we had such a busy week that we never got around to capturing the details, but we did manage quick overall shots of what we had on. Here's what we wore each day. We'd like to thank NZFW for having us again this year. We had a blast and look forward to the next one.

FOUREYES ON WALK THE LINE

We were asked to judge at this year's Walk The Line fashion show at New Zealand Fashion Week. Organised by the YMCA North Shore Raise Up N Represent crew, the show is an opportunity for young fashion designers between the ages of 13 and 18 to showcase their talents. We saw many awesome designs but unanimously chose this garment, created by Andrew Abrau, as the overall winner. We were impressed by his inspiration, execution and end-result.

NZFW 2012: HUFFER

Huffer closed New Zealand Fashion Week on Friday night with what they described as "an exhibition disguised as a party". It also conveniently doubled as a celebration for the opening of their new Takapuna store and Huffer's 15 years in business. An excited crowd quickly packed the venue which was decorated in a Mexican theme with cactus artworks by Priscilla Hunter and picture frames covered in paper scrawled with orange and green spray paint on the wall.

Models wearing Huffer's Spring/Summer El Summer collection soon arrived to tear off the paper, unveiling campaign imagery which was the result of a collaboration between Huffer and Mark 'The Cobra Snake' Hunter. With the formalities out of the way, the event quickly turned into an awesome unofficial wrap party for NZFW. Huffer knows how to throw a party, we had a fantastic time. Click below to see all our photos from the night.

NZFW 2012: CHARLIE BROWN

Australian label Charlie Brown showed at New Zealand Fashion Week for the first time on Thursday. We saw a luxurious collection with beautiful garments embellished with beads, sequins, fur and feathers. See what we saw after the jump.

NZFW 2012: STOLEN GIRLFRIENDS CLUB

We attended the Stolen Girlfriends Club show on Thursday night. The show was held offsite in an underground carpark, where guests waited with baited breath to see what the label had come up with for next year. Snake prints, PVC, exposed zips and black mesh were some of the things we saw. Click below to check out our photos.

NZFW 2012: SALASAI

Salasai showed their collection yesterday at New Zealand Fashion Week. The clothes were beautiful with brown, red, lemon yellow and a zig zag print featuring prominently. The flawless styling by Dan Ahwa helped to create one of our favourite shows this week. From the sleek hair and glossy rich dark lips to the use of wheat as adornment, everything we saw looked impeccable. Click below to see our photos of the show.
