NZFW 2014 - UNDERGROUND

After a rad presentation last year, Underground, was back again at New Zealand Fashion Week, this time occupying Silo 6 at Wynyard Quarter. Six designers were involved, Blue Blank, Meadowlark, Thprks, Jojo Ross, Jimmy D and Jason Lingard, taking over a silo each to create their installations. Seriously cool, Underground will also be open from 10am this Friday to Sunday. It's free and you should go. But not because it's free, that's just a bonus. See more of what we saw after the jump.

BEN

Ben looked great in this considered look, layered with an Assin singlet, Rick Owens t-shirt and a Jimmy D jacket. The stripes break up this all black outfit and look great with these Rick Owens shoes. 

NZFW 2013 - A.O.K. JIMMY D

Jimmy D concluded the A.O.K. show with a dark collection entitled Gloom Generation: Reloaded. In their signature style, the range was heavy on black, drapey looks with pops of yellow appearing unexpectedly. A dark sense of humour came through in the memorable doughnut imagery on some of the looks. We loved the oversized, pocketed black shirt that also appeared in white. The rad pieces in this collection are available now at Children Of Vision.

NZFW 2013 - UNDERGROUND

Underground brought together ten designers with ten photographers in an impressive installation that transformed a carpark below the Sofitel into an exhibition space divided by shimmering sheets of silver. Each designer created their own installation. Click through to see what we saw.

MBFWA 2013: WHAT WE WORE DAY FIVE

MBFWA 2013: WHAT WE WORE DAY THREE

Alex wears Zambesi sunglasses, codes combine jacket, Zara shirt and shorts, Tim Van Steenbergen shoes, self-made clutch and ring from New York.

Mino wears House of Holland sunglasses, Raf Simons shirt, Zambesi mesh top and pants, Demande de Mutation cuff, shoes from Korea and custom-made clutch and rings.

Chin wears Super sunglasses, Topman shirt, Givenchy singlet, Jimmy D pants and Country Road shoes.

Danny wears Alistair Trung top and shorts, American Apparel T shirt and Givenchy shoes.

LEE

We spotted Lee in Newmarket in this all black look. The cool jacket with the frayed edges and the split-toe boots were both by Maison Martin Margiela. Her pants and bag were by Zambesi. The distinctive pentacle-shaped Hex bra is by Jimmy D. The spine ring was from New Jewellery and all her other amazing rings were also from Zambesi. Her sunglasses were by Rick Owens.
