NZFW 2014 - ZAMBESI

Zambesi showed their AW15 collection, XXXV, at NZFW on Wednesday. Marking their 35th year, the show was naturally polished and slick with models walking to a soundtrack of Queen's Flash Gordon. It's no secret we're pretty big fans of the label and we saw a lot to like in this collection. Highlights for us were the stunning outerwear, including a rich blue coat and slouchy coats with a pilled texture, the possum-fur knitwear and the structured dresses. FOUREYES ON ZAMBESI AT THE MARR FACTORY

More from The Marr Factory. One of our favourite NZ labels, Zambesi, showed their sportswear-influenced SS 14/15 collection Tuesday night at The Golden Dawn. Carrying on a tradition established at last year's event, friends of Zambesi and this time team members served as models. See some of what we saw after the jump.

AMANDA

Amanda always looks gorgeous and the day we caught her in this beautiful Zambesi dress was no exception. We loved the way she has used accessories and a unique bag from Gucci to make this look even more stunning.

JUDITH

Judith caught our eye in this dark look that consisted of a dress and scarf by Zambesi. Her sunnies were by Moscot and her belt was vintage. Her mix of beautiful rings were by Serge Thoraval, Company of Strangers and Stolen Girlfriends Club.

SARAH

We shot Sarah down at Britomart in this amazing tasseled tunic by Zambesi. Her shoes were Barbara Bui from Lineage, sunglasses by Prada and her pants by Storm. We loved her two bold silver rings, one a cute kina shape by Joyce Palmer and the other a simple thick band by Eileen Leahy.

JENNY

Jenny's awesome silhouette was created by a lightweight cape and oversized top, both by Zambesi. Her jeans were from Storm and her embroidered bag was brought back from China. We loved her earrings by Kirsten Hayden which she bought at Fingers. Their gritty, beaded texture sparkled in the light. She teamed her look with classic white Converse.

BENJAMINALEXANDER

We loved how Benjaminalexander put together this striking outfit. The rad jacket was from Tango and the top was by Zambesi. His awesome high-waisted riding pants were vintage Ian Burns. The beautiful tasselled loafers were also vintage.

ANGELIQUE

We thought Angelique, director of Publicity PR looked stylish in this all black ensemble including this gorgeous vintage cape she has paired with a fur piece from Country Road. Her beautiful rings are by Nga Waiata, handbag by Chloe and sunnies by Graz. Her boots are by Steve Madden and leggings by Zambesi.

KYLIE

We shot Kylie down at New Zealand Fashion Week in this great look that juxtaposed a sharp Zambesi jacket with more casual mix of a plaid T shirt, also by Zambesi, and dungarees by Huffer. We love her Nom*d socks peeking out of her boots by Rag & Bone. Her sunglasses were by Versace, earrings were vintage and bag by Saben. Check out her rad mani too.

VANESSA

Vanessa wore some striking accessories against her all-black outfit. Her cardigan top was by Lela Jacobs and her pants were by Storm. The stunning long black necklace was from Zambesi, chunky bangles were by Dinosaur Designs and Brooklyn Bridge ring by Noir Jewelry. Her clutch was by Topshop. We really liked the stark white laces and contrast stitching of her Dr. Martens boots.

DINO

We spotted Dino on a rainy Auckland day. He was hard to miss in this amazing oversized jacket by Haider Ackermann. The T shirt underneath is by Zambesi and his boots by LD Tuttle. He kept his simple look sophisticated with a beautiful bag by Céline.

NZFW 2013 - ZAMBESI

The Zambesi show began dramatically with the back wall parting to reveal the backstage. The audience watched the models go through final checks as they prepared to walk down the catwalk. On cue, each model took off wearing a look from this beautiful collection. We particularly loved the translucent blue pieces, the long coats and the looks with the organza panels. TAUTAHI

We loved the simplicity of Tautahi's monochromatic look. The biker jacket was a vintage find and the rad spotty shorts were by Zambesi. The boots were by Dirk Bikkembergs. His wallet was by Costume National.

SOPHIE

Sophie’s all-black look caught our eye one weekend. Her awesome Zambesi dress featured an unusual combination of a halter neck front together with a ribbed turtleneck and matching cuffs. The interesting leather bag was by Kohl & Cochineal and the crystal ring from Wunderkammer. The striking sunglasses with the wide temples were by Chronicles of Never. Her hairy boots were from Melbourne.
