FOUREYES ON BRIARWOOD S/S 2013

Last Wednesday, Briarwood invited us along to view their Spring/Summer 2013 collection entitled Sweet Rebel. The launch was held at Gow Langsford Gallery amongst the New Works exhibition featuring works by Dick Frizzell, Reuben Paterson, Sara Hughes and several others. See some of what we liked after the jump.

SHANNON

The sporty influences in Shannon's outfit coupled with a couple of dressier pieces made this look stand out. Her awesome pants, top and jacket are by Moochi and her shoes are by Nike. Her clutch is also by Moochi and her sunnies by Karen Walker.

FOUREYES ON KATE SYLVESTER AT THE MARR FACTORY

Kate Sylvester concluded The Marr Factory series last night. We first shot this collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia in April (see here) but we loved how fun this showing was with the models playing Marilyn Monroe-style on a podium with built-in fan. Seeing the clothes up close again reminded us of how well-constructed Kate Sylvester's clothes are. Check out our shots from last night after the jump.

TAUTAHI

We loved the simplicity of Tautahi's monochromatic look. The biker jacket was a vintage find and the rad spotty shorts were by Zambesi. The boots were by Dirk Bikkembergs. His wallet was by Costume National.

FOUREYES ON HELEN CHERRY & WORKSHOP AT THE MARR FACTORY

The Marr Factory series continued last night with Helen Cherry and Workshop showcasing their current collections. See what we saw and liked after the jump.

SOPHIE

Sophie’s all-black look caught our eye one weekend. Her awesome Zambesi dress featured an unusual combination of a halter neck front together with a ribbed turtleneck and matching cuffs. The interesting leather bag was by Kohl & Cochineal and the crystal ring from Wunderkammer. The striking sunglasses with the wide temples were by Chronicles of Never. Her hairy boots were from Melbourne.

FOUREYES ON NOM*D AT THE MARR FACTORY

Nom*D showed at The Marr Factory last night with a collection featuring layered looks of muted colours, sophisticated mixed prints and black mesh. We particularly loved how all the looks were styled with Nom*D's awesome socks, dramatic top knots by the Stephen Marr team and fierce eyes by MAC. Click through to check out our favourite looks from the night.

ELISABETH

Elisabeth looked rad in this killer vintage jacket which she paired with an awesome pair of MM6 Maison Martin Margiela jeans (similar here). It’s not often we come across vintage Cartier bags on the streets so we were thrilled to spot this one. The cute spotty jersey was by Marcs. Her spectacles were by Chanel and her shoes by Opening Ceremony. The neat leather phone cover was from her own label Elisabeth Kwan.

FOUREYES ON ZAMBESI AT THE MARR FACTORY

Last night's show put on by The Marr Factory was dedicated to Zambesi's current Spring/Summer collection. We first shot this range earlier in the year when it debuted at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia (see here). This time around, it was great to see it not just on models but also on some pretty notable names in the New Zealand fashion, music and media industries. Check out who wore what after the jump.

KENNETH

It was the beautiful texture of Kenneth's Lela Jacobs top that initially got our attention. The delicate fabric was in stark contrast to the hardy material of his camo rain cape from Kiwi Disposals and the rubber of his Skellerup boots. His bag was by Eastpak.

FOUREYES ON KAREN WALKER AT THE MARR FACTORY

The Marr Factory series of fashion shows, curated by Stephen Marr, is back for another year. We went along last night to see Karen Walker's current Spring/Summer collection and shot our favourite looks from the catwalk. Look out for the rad floral prints and splashes of colour that we're already seeing a lot of on the streets. We're also loving the oversized 'Runaway' and 'Runaway Girl' pendants.

FOUREYES THE BOOK

Beatnik, a book publishing company, approached us a little while back with an idea to do a book based on our blog. We were surprised to say the least but leapt at the amazing opportunity. The publishing deal is now signed, sealed and delivered and we've already begun the lengthy process of designing the book and its content. FOUREYES the book will be out before the end of the year! That's our blank canvas up above.

Check in over the next few weeks to see all the updates on our progress. This is one project we can’t wait to hold in our hands!

FOUREYES ON SUNGLASS HUT - THE GLITTERING HOLIDAY 2013

We attended the Sunglass Hut "All that glitters" event, showcasing The Glittering Holiday 2013 Eyewear Collection. The invitation read "come and play" and that's exactly what we did, trying on the latest coloured metallics, gold, silver and glittering sunglasses. Check out the pairs that caught our eye during our visit and check out Sunglass Hut for these rad styles including brands like D&G, Ray-Ban, Prada, Burberry & Georgio Armani just to name a few.

CHELSEA

It's always exciting to see people wearing hats on the streets as they add a distinct feel to an outfit and Chelsea was no exception. She had a striking monotone silhouette made up of a top and pants from Moochi and boots by Senso.

FOUREYES ON NICK VON K'S MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL

With names like Assassin Rosary, Wolf Monkey and Jellyfish Monk, the pieces in the Nick Von K Midnight Carnival collection did not lack originality or creativity. The candlelit venue, complete with exotic dancers, reinforced the simple message Nick was trying to convey "wear your wild side on the outside ... everyday". If you haven't already stumbled across Nick Von K's pieces before, check them out here. Click through to see some of our favourite pieces from the collection.

JESSICA

Jessica was the picture of elegance in these neutral tones. Her beautiful white coat is by Stella McCartney, her scarf is vintage and her pants are by TK. Jessica's cardigan is vintage, her clutch was a gift from Japan and her boots are by Costume National. Her stunning rings are by her own label Jessica Aggrey Jewellery.

FOUREYES ON MISS CLAWDY

We attended the launch of new restaurant Miss Clawdy down at Wynyard Quarter in Auckland last week. We were treated to a selection of sharing plates from the menu which specialised in flavours from the South and Central Americas. Having not had a lot of soul food, we weren’t terribly familiar with it. Always game to try new things, we plowed through the dishes and enjoyed all of it. Stand outs for us were the Southern Fried Jerk Chicken, Jambalaya and the Snapper Ceviche. It wasn’t until we finished the dishes that we realised we hadn’t photographed any of them (that's how good they looked!) Fortunately, we were better with the Cinnamon Beignets and the Key Lime Pie we had for dessert. Click through to see our shots from the night.

FOUREYES ON KAREN WALKER NEWMARKET

Karen Walker celebrated the 20th birthday of their Newmarket store last week and we were thrilled to be invited along. It was one of the more memorable occasions for us with Mo√ęt champagne flowing all night, an enormous cake by The Caker, helium balloons and excellent company. Click through to see what we saw.

SARAH

We like the use of colour and busy mixed prints in Sarah's outfit from Coop by Trelise Cooper. We thought that the oriental-inspired Tiger print on the jacket was an awesome centre-piece to her outfit. Her shoes are from Zomp.
