FOUREYES ON BRIARWOOD S/S 2013

Last Wednesday, Briarwood invited us along to view their Spring/Summer 2013 collection entitled Sweet Rebel. The launch was held at Gow Langsford Gallery amongst the New Works exhibition featuring works by Dick Frizzell, Reuben Paterson, Sara Hughes and several others. FOUREYES ON THE ART OF FOOTWEAR

The Kathryn Wilson Winter 13 collection was previewed earlier in the week at an event entitled The Art of Footwear. It was a shoe presentation fused with a glamourous charity art auction. The artworks featured shoes from the collection and were created by 15 New Zealand artists, photographers and stylists. Kathryn Wilson also teamed up with Orsini Fine Jewellery to create a diamond encrusted court-heeled shoe, worth approximately half a million dollars. This shoe, seen in the last photo, was also up for auction on the night. Proceeds raised were donated to Ronald McDonald House Auckland. See the shoes and art pieces we liked after the jump.
