MBFWA 2014 - DAY FOUR

The last day of Fashion Week Australia came around more quickly than we had imagined but again, it was a jam packed schedule from starting at 9am with the last show, Discount Universe offsite at 9pm. The schedule started with the Alice McCall show, set in a huge warehouse space at Carriageworks and was one of the best productions of the week with confetti falling from the ceilings for the finale that resembled snow. The New Generation show was next and was an obvious highlight for us as our own  Mino Kim showed a collection that he had designed in collaboration with New Zealand brand Daniel K. The pieces were modern, simple and extremely wearable and included bold colours and many sheer components - a collection that was the stand out of the show of many. We used the breaks in our schedule to to celebrate with Mino over a few glasses of bubbles which set the tone for a very fun day. Other highlights included Ae'lkemi, Zhivago which was set in a dark space lit by Neon, Song for the Mute who showed a dark and moody menswear collection and we ended the week with the outrageously fun Discount Universe which took place in a private room at an inner-city Sydney hotel. We really can't believe that the "fashion week" part of the week is already over but now it's time to eat, drink and shop! Can't wait! Stay tuned for more posts on the shows and the street style!
