JADE

We spotted Jade (again) wearing this bright and playful outfit in Ponsonby. Her jacket and vibrant yellow dress were both by Karen Walker. We loved her Marc Jacobs bag and the adorable bulldog loafers by Marc by Marc Jacobs.

FOUREYES ON THIS WEEK #2

ALEX - We were invited to attend New Zealand's first ever Dîner en Blanc last night and it was an unforgettable evening. Launched in Paris 25 years ago, the concept of a picnic in a public space where the location was kept a secret until the last minute and where all picnic goers must wear white, was one we could not wait to experience ourselves. We met at at the Sofitel, one of about five meeting spots around Auckland where thanks to G.H. Mumm, the official sponsor the event, we enjoyed some beautiful Champagne and cheese while we waited to hear more about the secret location of the dinner. Once we arrived at the venue, we were treated to a beautiful dinner, followed by sparklers, live entertainment and dancing. A simply amazing night. Check out our Instagram here for a couple more pictures.

CHIN - Dîner en Blanc was also a high for me this week. But Nespresso's decadent launch party for their latest coffee machine called Inissia was a definite highlight too. The sweet station there, catered by Bluebells Cakery (the same Bluebells Cakery that supplied the treats at the launch party of our book last year), pretty much monopolised my attention that whole night. How can a sweet station be anyone's highlight of the week? Well, it was for me. It was just that good.

On a related note, we'll be posting about this night shortly along with a sweet little giveaway.

DANNY - These pretty things are now sitting in my hallway. Daydream by Matthew Browne and Oceanic print by Grethen Albrecht. A couple of us went to the Livable City Art Auction which was raising money for an Environment Court battle against Bunnings' plans to put a big box development in the middle of one of Auckland's heritage neighbourhoods (more on that here if you're interested). We bid and we won. Something about buying art at an auction seems incredibly grown up, even though when I finally get the pieces they just lean against walls in my house because I don't quite have the maturity level to actually hang artwork.

MINO - As I explained last week, I have been designing a collection of pieces for a collaboration with DANIEL K. This week we styled and shot the look book so I have attached a little sneak peek for you all below. This project has moved so fast and I can't believe that pieces that I have designed will be walking down the runway at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia in a matter of less than 2 weeks. This time next week we will be in Sydney and I'm sure my nerves will be running high!

ANT

We like Ant's relaxed yet considered street style including a jacket from i love ugly, t-shirt by American Vintage, Nudie jeans and Red Wing boots. His awesome clear sunnies are by Karen Walker.

JESSEMEY

Jessemey caught out eye in this cool floral jumpsuit by Reformation that she has paired with a studded leather bag.

LIZZIE

Lizzie looked fresh and vibrant in this printed dress from H&M. We like how she has styled it with some boots from Number One Shoes and these cool circular ASOS sunglasses.

ANDREW

Andrew looked sharp in a blazer by Working Style, shirt by Little Brother, pants by Topman and Cheaney shoes. We like how he has added a twist to this classic look with some coloured pants.

CHERYL

Cheryl looked stunning in this very striking ensemble. We love the tailoring of her jacket from WORLD which up close had an amazing texture and colour. Her skirt is also from WORLD, her stockings from Smith & Caughey's and her boots are by McQueen

We also shot Cheryl back in 2012 and she was featured in FOUREYES the Book.

FOUREYES ON THIS WEEK #1

Today we start a new segment where the four of us will blog about some of the stuff that has stood out to us each week. Part journal, part visual diary and probably part shopping/wants list, it will be a bit of a home for some things we want to share with you but previously haven't found a place for on the blog. Read it (or don't. The street style will still be here).

ALEX - Last night I took this photo on my phone at a friends BBQ in Tuakau. I'm really hoping that summer sticks around for a little bit longer! Speaking of Tuakau, who knew it was so pretty!?

Oh, and Chocolate Hot Cross Buns are now available again at Bakers Delight - it's the simple pleasures for me this week!

CHIN - I browsed through some online stores earlier in the week and found this awesome neoprene sweatshirt from the amazing Juun.J 2014 Spring/Summer collection. This piece was part of the collaboration Juun.J did with Russian photographer and artist Oleg Dou. I love the boxy shape, neoprene fabric, eerie print and everything else about it. At a cost of about NZ$680, it's available here.

DANNY - Our media accreditation for Fashion Week Australia came through on Monday. Finally. Seriously, it took ages this year and I think we were all sweating it a little, especially since flights and hotels were already arranged ages ago. Not that a week off work in Sydney not going to Fashion Week would have been unbearable or anything, but, you know.

MINO - This week, these guys got delivered! Clothing labels that will be going onto the pieces I have designed for a collaboration I have been working on for the past few months with Daniel K. In approximately 2 weeks, I will be showing this collaboration at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia and I can't be more excited! Watch this space for updates!

DAMIAN

We loved Damian's sharp look that combined smart and street elements, along with a dashing vintage scarf. His pants were also vintage and his shoes were by I Love Ugly. The cap was New Era and his rugged backpack by Sitka.

DANNII-JOY

Dannii-Joy certainly stood out from the crowd in this all-black outfit topped with a stiff-brimmed burgundy hat. We loved that the drama of the gold chains on the back of her Maurie & Eve jacket was offset by the simplicity of the front. Her hat and dress were both from Glassons. Her bold sunnies were by Karen Walker and her skinny belt was an op shop find. Her delicately studded shoes were vintage.

ALEYSHA

We thought Aleysha looked rad in these flared denim overalls by Rolla's. The retro feel of her outfit was matched well with some round-framed sunglasses by Ray-Ban and a pair of chunky, wooden shoes. Her bag was from Glassons.

Tuesday, 18 March 2014

KATHERINE

We loved this polished look by Katherine from Katherine is Awesome that we think struck the perfect masculine/feminine balance. The beautiful blue coat was by Liam, top by Karen Walker, pants by Juliette Hogan and shoes by Burberry. Her purse was by Coach and her chain bracelet was also by Juliette Hogan.
