FOUREYES THE BOOK: THE COCKTAILS













For the FOUREYES book launch party last week we created a pair of cocktails using the incredible Black Robin Rare Gin and Blue Duck Rare Vodka, produced right here in New Zealand.

As you can imagine, we had a blast designing the cocktails and conducting all the necessary 'research' required. We came up with two summery and refreshing drinks. The FOUREYES Sweet | Sour, a strawberry and balsamic vodka-based cocktail, and the FOUREYES Cool | Hot, with gin, cool cucumber and spicy chilli.

The recipes are below for your drinking pleasure. Happy weekend.


FOUREYES SWEET | SOUR

30ml Blue Duck Rare Vodka
1 large strawberry
2 rounds cucumber
15ml lemon juice
15ml simple syrup
2.5ml balsamic vinegar
Soda
Basil

Muddle strawberry, cucumber, lemon juice, syrup and balsamic. Add vodka. Strain into a lowball filled with ice. Top with soda and garnish with basil.


FOUREYES COOL | HOT

30ml Black Robin Rare Gin
15ml ginger simple syrup
15ml lemon juice
1 split chilli
1 slice Cucumber
Soda

Fill a lowball with ice. Add gin, ginger syrup and lemon juice. Top with soda. Add cucumber and stir with chilli, leaving in as garnish.
