GIVEAWAY: RHYTHM & VINES FESTIVAL TICKETS

The Rhythm & Vines Music Festival is back for another year and this year the lineup is incredible! To celebrate, we are giving away a double pass (worth $480) to the three-day festival held in Gisborne, New Zealand. You'll have to sort out your own transport and accommodation but apart from that, your only worry will be what to wear! To help you out with some ideas, we dug into our archives and pulled a few festival-ready looks to help you get inspired. For more info about dates, venue and lineup check out the official website.

Now, the important bit... The competition is over! Congratulations Thorne Williams, a double pass is on its way to you. Have fun at R&V.

The winner will be notified by email on 18 December 2014

Note: This is a strictly R18 event so you must be at least 18 years old by the 29th of December to attend the festival.

We love the fact this outfit looks good but is also super functional. Boho vibes in these cute shorts and top paired with some sturdy flat leather boots that will take you through the night. This handy little bag to carry your phone so you don't lose it and of course some sunnies for those beautiful summer days we will hopefully be seeing over the New Year period.

Re-create this look with some of our suggestions:

SUNGLASSES: Some round frames or even some gold mirrored aviators.
BAGS: This cute funny face bag or maybe something with a bit of fringe
SHORTS: These in this cool mocha colour (or black) or maybe these cool checked ones?
TOPS: A simple cami top or a cami with a bit of lace.
BOOTS: Some good old trusty Docs or these boots by Steve Madden

We like this look because it's easy, comfortable and looks effortless. Double denim with a white t-shirt, cap and sunnies to protect you from the sun - a great festival look if you ask us.

SUNGLASSES: Ray-Ban clubmasters (the foldable ones are great) or maybe the classic wayfarer
CAPS: Plain? or floral?
VEST: Either something like this or maybe something with jersey sleeves
JEANS: Some good old Levi's

Less is more in this kind of simple, bohemian look. All you need is a breezy dress and a few good accessories.

DRESS: Something like this, or this white one.
SHOES: Flat boots like these are perfect.
BAG: A shoulder bag like this is practical for carrying all your junk plus it looks the part. We like this super fringed version and this is cool too.
JEWELLERY: Either chunky without being too flashy, or something small, fun and playful like this Tatty Devine owl would work great.

Dungarees paired with a colourful shirt makes for a fun, easy festival look. Mix it with insane bright accessories for extra points.

DUNGAREES: Hard to go past these classic blue dungarees but a dark wash version is pretty nice too.
SHIRT: This Reclaimed Vintage fruit print shirt or this short-sleeved plaid.
BOOTS: These Docs look good to us.
SUNNIES: Heart sunglasses? Why not. These ones are perfect.

FOUREYES ON AUT ROOKIE 2014 (PART ONE)

One of our favourite annual events, the AUT Rookie show, happened earlier this week. Showcasing the work of AUT's graduating fashion designers, it's always a nice intro to some names to keep an eye on over the next few years. This year's show kicked off with a collaboration between the Year Two students and Zambesi before moving on to the graduates' collections. It's a big show, so we're splitting it into two posts.

See the first half of what we saw after the jump. (Above looks by Engy Mahdy and Sue Park)
