LINDY

Lindy is the epitome of modern style in this beautifully tailored gold and black suit by Toni Maticevski with this pronounced shoulder detail. The way that she has styled this suit with a simple pair of Scanlan & Theodore pumps, a simple black Acne t-shirt and a Chanel bag is perfection.

MBFWA - NEW GENERATION

The New Generation 2013 show took place on the last day of MBFWA and featured the works of eight up-and-coming Australian fashion designers. The eight collections were varied and ranged from the boldly colourful to the darker gothic. The stand out designers for us were Tristan Melle, for the relaxed sophistication of his entire line, and Jamie Ashkar, for the wearability of his on-trend pieces. Click through to see what we liked from their collections as well as the designs from Desert Designs, Faddoul, Natalie & Sarah, The Letter Q, Betty Tran and Zhivago.

MBFWA - PHOENIX KEATING

Phoenix Keating's debut at MBFWA took the form of a very captivating presentation. Having dressed the likes of Lady Gaga, we didn't know what to expect of his collection entitled Humanoid. We were not disappointed. The collection was futuristic and conceptual with a strong nod to the wild west and included the use of a wide spectrum of fabrics, from metallics to heavy tweed. The styling of the show was also impressive with bold jewellery and accessories. Models sported modern but classic up-dos. Click through to take a look at this striking presentation.

MARCUS

Blogger Marcus of Martan caught our eye in this simple, burnt orange suit by Zara. The classic silhouette was accented with some killer accessories. His oversized keyring necklace was by Maison Martin Margiela for H&M. The awesome clutch was by Christopher Kane and the shoes by Marc by Marc Jacobs. His nose bridge ring was by Givenchy.

MBFWA - HARYONO SETIADI

Haryono Setiadi's latest collection at MBFWA was a largely monochromatic one. The beautiful tailoring was strong and feminine, and was certainly the star of this show. The digital print that featured provided the only flourish of colour. This, together with the bold silver bracelets and angular shoes, helped enhance the fashionably futuristic feel of the collection. Click through to see some of what we enjoyed about the show.

MBFWA - BRONX & BANCO

We attended the Bronx and Banco show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. The show took place in 'The Box' and the runway was lined with candles. Models donned heavily fringed hairstyles and walked the runway, showing a collection that was clean and simple including a lot of black & white, the use of leather, and the occasional splash of blue and coral. Click below for more of our pictures of the collection. Also look out for Miss Universe Australia 2012, Renae Ayris (in photo 8), who walked in the show.
